We are a charitable organisation, founded and entirely funded by our Chairman, sports philanthropist Barrie Wells
. Since 2009, we have provided unique and exciting experiences for children through our two schemes, Box 4 Kids and Athletes 4 Schools.
Our Box 4 Kids
initiative provides a unique opportunity for seriously ill and disabled children and their loved ones to enjoy a VIP day at major sporting events. Box 4 Kids was initially launched at Liverpool FC and due to the success of this scheme, Barrie approached other organisations to ask them to consider donating a box for a match so that these special opportunities for children could extend to other sports and different regions of the country. To date, Box 4 Kids has secured boxes at Arsenal FC, Stoke City FC, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Leicester Tigers, London Sevens, Saracens and Wimbledon.
The Athletes 4 Schools
programme ran from 2009 up until the London 2012 Olympics, inspiring over 35,000 children. This initiative involved many of the 19 elite athletes personally funded by Barrie visiting schools in various parts of the UK to deliver free, fun and educational workshops through the power of sport.
